How to Hard Reset Your Battle Beaver Controller

Battle Beaver PlayStation 4 Controller

  1. Turn off and unplug your PS4 console.
    1. If on PC, disconnect the controller from Bluetooth (if connected in that way).
  2. Disconnect the PS4 controller from the USB cable, if connected.
  3. On the back of your controller, you will find a tiny hole – the reset button is inside this hole, as pictured below.
  4. Use a small, unfolded paper clip (or something similar) to press and hold the reset button for at least five seconds.
  5. Your controller should now have been reset.
  6. Connect your controller to the PS4 console or PC using the USB cable.

 

Battle Beaver PS5 Controller

  1. Turn off your PS5 console or disconnect the controller from Bluetooth (if on PC).
  2. Disconnect the DualSense wireless controller from the USB cable (if connected via cable).
  3. Find the reset button inside the small hole next to the rear mic hole on the back of your controller, as pictured below.
  4. Use a pin or a similar tool (not included) to press and hold the reset button for at least 5 seconds.
  5. Your controller should now have been reset.
  6. Connect your controller to the PS5 console or PC using the USB cable.

 

Battle Beaver Xbox Series X and Xbox One Controllers

Rather than hard resetting an Xbox controller, you should try both of the following:

Check the battery: Replace the controller batteries with fresh ones, or make sure that the rechargeable controllers are fully recharged. (Do this even if your controller still has power—low batteries can cause connection and functionality issues.)

Power cycle your controller: Press and hold the Guide button for 5-10 seconds until the controller turns off. Wait a few seconds, and then press and hold the Guide button again to turn the controller back on.
